Harcatus Family Support Program Seeking Applicant Families

HARCATUS Family Support, a new program here in Tuscarawas County is seeking two applicant families to participate in their self-sufficiency program.

This is an intensive self-sufficiency program operated by the HARCATUS Community Action Agency. Harcatus serves Harrison, Carroll and Tuscarawas counties.

To participate in the program, families must be willing to do the following:

  • Have a strong desire to achieve self-sufficiency.
  • Willingness to work weekly with program case managers.
  • Attend varied training programs.
  • Strive to achieve individual self-sufficiency goals.

The HARCATUS Family Support program utilizes weekly home visits to help families to become fit financially, personally and emotionally. This can include helping the family to find child and adult education programs, employment trainings, money management, parenting, and transportation assistance.

The family will be lead by case managers in creating a goal that will describe what they hope to accomplish while participating in the program. The case managers will also be the family’s support system to help them face and overcome daily challenges.

If you are interested in applying for this new program, please contact Marty at the TMHA office at (330) 308-8099. Ext. 203
