Wanted: Section 8 Program Participants For TMHA Resident Advisory Board

TMHA is once again recruiting interested current TMHA clients who are willing to serve on our TMHA Resident Advisory Board.

The Resident Advisory Board is comprised solely of Section 8 recipients who wish to provide input to the housing authority regarding our annual plan and other issues in which it is very helpful to management to hear opinions from Section 8 residents.

The Resident Advisory Board is in need of several new members at this time. The current schedule calls for the Board to meet every other month for approximately an hour to an hour and a half. Meetings are always held during regular housing authority operating hours, generally in the afternoon.

Topics discussed at the meetings include utility allowance schedules, payment standards, the TMHA annual plan, programs the housing authority is operating, policies and procedures, and others.

Those tenants interested in serving on the advisory board will need to contact Marty at the housing authority office at (330) 308-8099 and let him know of your interest in participating. The housing authority needs and appreciates the input from the tenants who serve on the Board.
