Obtain Required HUD Training For Yourself or
Your Workers
Do you perform any repairs, maintenance, painting,
rehabilitation, remodeling or renovations on housing built prior
to 1978?
Does that housing receive any federal funding assistance
including Section 8 subsidy?
If you answered YES to both questions above, you need to take
Lead-Safe Work Practices Training.
A Cuyahoga County Board of Health Grant allows Tri-C to offer
this class at $50.00 per participant!
Cuyahoga Community College, in collaboration with Mahoning
County Healthy Homes, is sponsoring a One (1) day Lead-Safe Work
Practices course to train workers to perform interim controls of
lead hazards in federally-assisted housing, under the HUD
Lead-Safe Housing Rule.
This training course is for contractors and workers who do
rehabilitation or remodeling such as structural repairs,
weatherization or unit upgrading.
This course will train students in procedures for working on and
around lead-based paint without producing dust that could be
hazardous to young children. Successful completion of the course
qualifies the trainee to perform operations and maintenance and
renovation, remodeling and rehabilitation activities in
federally-assisted housing.
